About me

is an academy-trained painter, illustrator and designer, the face behind the brand called Petra Žabčić Art. She graduated Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2008., under the mentorship of Igor Rončević and since then she works and creates in Zagreb and the rest of Croatia as well. 

Her art is the result of her experimenting with figurative forms of dreamy nature. Her style is known for vegetal patterns, which, together with the thick impasto layers, ornamentalize the surface.

 Sometimes the first to come to life is the text and sometimes it is the picture. However, they are both an expression of the painter’s creation of reality that sometimes comes off as melancholic, sometimes as childishly playful, but never boring.
